FAQs

Question

Weekend Vibe

Answer

The couple are planning to have a relaxed and fun weekend with their family and friends so they are creating a fun, relaxed environment. They have the venue booked Friday(PM) through Sunday (AM). Please come and enjoy the weekend with them!

Question

Where should I RSVP?

Answer

Please, RSVP on the website for the events and stay - the stay payment of $150 per adult is due by December 1, 2025. If you do not RSVP/communicate by December 16th, the guest will have to find other accommodation. There needs a final headcount before January, 2026 for the venue.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

No, due to the couples limited budget, they have come up with a close and intimate guest list and would like only those invited to attend the day.

Question

Children?

Answer

The couple welcomes the children that are listed as guests (they will be listed on the invite as well) just a reminder that it is the woods. Every child needs to be with an adult to ensure their safety during the stay due to there being a coy pond and the woods around the venue.

Question

What type of food will be available?

Answer

The couple plans on having Costco Pizza the night before the wedding and BBQ for the wedding. Feel free to bring extra drinks and food for other meals and snacks. There are full kitchens in each lodge. The venue is also near town so people are welcome to head into town for breakfast day of wedding.

Question

Shay Meadows Venue Rules and Regulations

Answer

A few rules of the venue (and Big Bear): 1. There is a noise ordinance by 10 pm, so any outside music and noise outside must be turned off at 930. We can continue to celebrate inside the main lodge once it hits 930 pm. 2. No open flame 3. Smoking (Vapes and all smoking) must be done in the designated smoking area 4. We are in the woods so please have fun, but make sure you do not wander off. The venue owner asks that everyone keeps their heads on. 5. Children and guests under 16 must be supervised at all times! 6. Check-in is 1 pm (Friday) and check-out is 1030 am (Sunday)

Question

On-site accommodations

Answer

On-site accommodations are available - the couple are asking for $150 per adult for the whole weekend sent via Venmo (@NatBes or @besnard-moore), PayPal (@BesnardMoore) or cash or check by December 1st. The couple has booked 3/5 houses until finally headcount - most rooms are 2 queen beds with their own bathroom and each lodge has a full kitchen. Children will not have a designated bed so please bring sleeping bags, pack and play, etc. to accommodate your children if needed. Thank you!
