FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jordan Herman and Joey Howell
Question

Can I stay at the venue?

Answer

Yes. On-site lodging at Day Mountain Ranch includes six luxury cabins and four small cottages with a mix of bedroom, bed, and bathroom setups. This is shared group housing, meaning guests should expect to share bedrooms, common spaces, and in some cases bunk beds with other guests. Check-in is at 4 PM on Friday, check-out is at 11 AM on Sunday. Because this is shared group housing, we ask that families with babies-in-arms plan to stay off-site. There is also unlimited camping space in open fields for tents and vehicle campers. The field is... not super flat. Expect some slope-age.

Question

How do I claim a spot at the venue?

Answer

You will be able to claim a bed when you RSVP. Just keep in mind that there are limited beds on-site, so the early bird gets the worm! ;)

Question

Can I have a private room or private cottage at the venue?

Answer

It is unlikely that any private rooms or cottages will be available to guests who are not immediate family members. If you feel most comfortable with a private room and bathroom, we recommend that you plan to stay off-site (see below)!

Question

Where can I stay nearby?

Answer

For guests staying off-site, there are several options: Sugar Creek Lodge and Kitchen (AirBnB five minutes from the venue, requires a full group booking), Plaza Motel in Preston (15 minutes away), or a wide range of hotels in Logan, Utah (about 35 minutes from the venue). We've posted links to the venue and these hotels on the Travel page.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are not staying on site, you will need to provide your own transportation from your hotel to Day Mountain Ranch Resort.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of babes-in-arms. Space at our venue is tight, and we’re planning for a full house!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we will not be able to acommodate +1's not listed on your invitation.

Question

Are pets welcome?

Answer

There are no pets allowed at Day Mountain Ranch Resort.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Cut off for RSVP will be April 1st (for real, no fools day shenanigans).

Question

Where is parking?

Answer

Folks staying on-site will park near their cabins or cottages. Anyone who is staying off-site can park in the small gravel lot just below the cabins (42.094740, -111.760815). PARKING IS LIMITTED, please carpool when possible.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

We understand that friends and family will have invested a lot in traveling to our wedding and we don't expect gifts. However, if you still wish to contribute, we've set up a page for our honeymoon fund (see "Registry")!

Question

Is there a dress code or theme?

Answer

The dress code for the Friday welcome party is casual or costume-y black-and-white (Armageddonites will know what to do). We encourage silliness, but if you'd prefer to just wear a basic white or black shirt and jeans that's fine, too. Don't stress about it! As for the *actual* wedding, we are inspired by bohemian and western themes. Feel free to lean into that if it's your vibe. Otherwise, we encourage you to look nice, be comfortable, and feel like yourself. Heads up if you're thinking about footwear - the ceremony is taking place on a grassy field, reachable by a short walk up a gravel road. Wear heels at your own peril.
