We met on Tinder. We noticed something was different about this connection because the conversation came so easily. We messaged almost every day before Jon deleted Tinder to "take a break from dating". But a month later, at the suggestion of Vanessa's friend Grace, Jon sent another message. And Vanessa responded. Life has been amazing since then. After traveling to Portland Maine for a nursing travel assignment we road tripped across the country to Seattle Washington where we worked another nursing contract. The (indescribably beautiful) road trip back to Vermont landed us in Burlington. That's when we knew we needed to move out of our tiny apartment (and storage unit full of camp gear) and into our home. We now live in the New North End in Burlington Vermont. Jon proposed on 1/22/25 at the top of Camel's Hump on a beautiful, cold winter day.
