Dress Code

Answer

We are asking guests to dress to impress! Formal attire is what we're shooting for, as the Yacht Club does also have a dress code. Think floor length gowns, and suits essentially. We are also asking guests to avoid wearing black, as that is what Bride and Groom are wearing and we'd like to stand out. Jewel tones would fit our theme (Victorian Gothic), and white is welcome!

Google maps shows this location is on an island?

Answer

Yes! This is a state park in the city of Detroit, but guests are not required to have a state park pass, nor required to purchase one. To enter the island you'll just cross the bridge over the Detroit river and follow the road, until you come to the yacht club. All roads on belle isle are one-way, so please follow all signage and look for road closures, as some roads are seasonal. Your GPS should direct you the correct way.

Will I have to pay for parking?

Answer

No you will not! If we choose to do valet, you may tip the valet attendants but parking at the club is free. Parking at a hotel will probably be around $50 unless you are not staying in a hotel, or choose one of the budget options, as they do have free parking
