Behind what appeared to be a video rental store but was actually a secret hidden bar in Cincinnati, Mel was throwing a party in celebration of an achievement and invited her friend Megan. Instead of Megan bringing her husband Carlos to the party she brought her friend Jon, a friend of hers who was "supposedly" just stopping through town for 2 weeks. Well.....after Jon and Mel met, 2 weeks turned into 2 years and the rest was history.

On a vacation to Puerto Rico, Jon got the chance to meet all of Mel's family but more importantly.......he finally got a chance to go visit her Dads resting place. This was already such an exciting and emotional day, we then decided to go change and do couples photos in front of Mel's Dads childhood church. A very important place to Mel. During our photo session Mel turned around to find Jon on one knee, holding a beautiful ring, and those 4 little words were asked. "Will...you...marry...me?" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Puerto Rico!
