Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We've reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza next to the ceremony church and close to the reception venue. Please see the "Travel & Hotels" tab for more information.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding party will be in cocktail attire. That said, Knoxville in August is a hot, sweaty place—so feel free to go a little more casual, with a priority on comfort. People should feel free to wear dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or anything else you'd wear to church on Sunday or a nice party.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Absolutely! If you RSVP online, there will be a spot for you to let us know about any allergies or other dietary restrictions. If you RSVP by post, please let us know by email instead (john.e.dougherty.ii@gmail.com).

Help! I Don't Know What to Do at a Catholic Wedding!

Answer

Don't worry! This will not be a whole Catholic Mass: just some readings and a marriage ceremony (in other words, no Liturgy of the Eucharist). It should be easy to follow along!
