Kevin and Joni met the "modern way", with a click, a chat and several text messages back in June 2019. What they did on their first date was a first for the both of them. They met up to play frisbee at a park by Belmont Harbor. After passing the first test of athleticism, they had their first dinner together followed by ice cream. Dessert was made even more interesting because of some surprise entertainment by Chicago's very own Annual Naked Bike Ride that casually rode by the couple while enjoying their dessert. It was a memorable first date indeed. You know it's a successful first date when the second date was the next day. The couple met up for their first movie together (Aladdin), and as they say, the rest was history. A few months later, the couple adopted their beloved fur-ball, Norman and they all navigated the pandemic together. Kevin and Joni discovered that they both have this common thirst for music and have been going to music fests/raves/concerts together. Sharing the love for great tunes and DJs with friends. Now for the proposal, what better way to do it, but during their first vacation together in Aruba, September 2022. The couple love the beach, the water and just spending their time out in the sun. So Kevin got down on one knee with Aruba's beautiful sunset as the perfect backdrop; and to those of you who know Kevin as this friendly, out-going, fun guy, it will come as a surprise that he was literally lost for words while he was proposing. True example of letting his actions speak louder than words. Now here we are, more than four years later, looking forward to sharing our love for one another with all of you; our amazing family and friends!
