Maid of Honor
Chrissy is Joni’s sister, but also so much more. They somehow made it out of childhood fights and slaps as best friends. Chrissy could take some of the credit for Eric and Joni meeting, because if it wasn’t for her gym location choice, this wedding site may never had existed!
Officiant
Matt is Joni’s brother and happily accepted the role of being the officiant. Matt and Joni have always been close but have bonded most over maintenance B roads (it’s an Iowa thing) and their love for NE fun days and thanksgiving festivities.
Maid of Honor
Katie is Joni’s childhood best friend (yeah…who can say they met their best friend at the ripe age of one!). To be able to maintain a lifelong friendship is so important and they have managed to do so with annual camping trips, St Patrick’s shenanigans, and so much more. Katie is considered family to all of us, and her and her wife, Ashley, just welcomed their son, Max, as the newest addition!
Junior Bridesmaid
Aubrey is Eric’s niece and probably the most excited little lady for this day! The girls always know who to go to, “uncle pancake”, when a cupcake chant is needing to be initiated.
Ring Security
Hobbes is Joni’s nephew who reminds her she’s not (yet) too old to not be a cool aunt. Hobbes was very proud to take on the task of bringing the rings down the aisle to Eric, however, it makes his momma very nervous. He loves the sleepovers at Eric’s and Aunt Jo’s.
Ring Security
Trey is Joni’s youngest nephew and also the feistiest of the group. He is sure to charm all of the guests with his demeanor and dimples, do not let his initial shyness fool you.
Flower Girl
Kara is Eric’s youngest niece who he desperately wants a hug from. Kara now thinks it’s a game- she smiles so wide and sternly says no when asked for one. She is the happiest little lady you ever did meet! We are anxious to see how she decides to take on her role on the big day!
Junior Groomsmen
Z is Joni’s oldest nephew who was disappointed the boys aren’t wearing tuxedos, but was still excited to say yes to a bow tie and suspenders. If anyone is up for fishing during the reception or campfire baked beans as a late night snack- he’s your dude.
Father of the Bride
The man who needs no introduction…VB is Joni’s dad and teacher to all. He is looking forward to the “1st look” moment, then checking the Braves score immediately after. If you don’t know him yet, you will soon.
Mother of the Bride
Kathy is Joni’s mother who would make breakfast pizza for anyone who is still at the reception at 2 AM (please do us a kindness and not stay this long, as tempting as it is). She is a saint.
Groomsman
Nathan is Eric’s older brother. He has two wonderful daughters, Aubrey and Kara, that he is an above and beyond father to and a caring husband to his wife Cathy. Nate is very outgoing and always has a smile for any situation. He is a big fan of the Brewers, Packers, and finishing last in his fantasy football league.
Groomsman
Kyle is Eric’s younger brother. Kyle is an artist and gave us our first art work on our walls when he fell down the stairs and spilled his beer everywhere. Had three offers for the piece but wouldn’t sell cuz it meant too much to me. Kyle lives 13hrs away but he is always the first person to send a picture of his pets with a funny caption.
Father of the Groom
Tony is Eric's dad and has been our handiest of man. Tony is always willing to help....especially when a Canoe Paddler or boat ride are to follow. I don't know who enjoys his retirement more, him or Eric.
Mother of the Groom
Chris is Eric's mom and also spends a large amount of her retirement time at our home. She’s not a regular grandma, she’s a cool grandma.
