We invite our guests to join us in dressing for a timeless evening of celebration. Black tie attire is requested. Gentleman are encouraged to wear tuxedos. Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns, formal dresses, or sophisticated evening gowns.
While we adore your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding day an adults-only celebration (with the exception of children in the wedding party). We hope this advance notice allows you time to make arrangements, and we look forward to celebrating with you!
Our wedding will be celebrated with a full Catholic Mass, the traditional and sacramental form in which the Church celebrates the Sacrament of Marriage. The liturgy will last approximately one hour. For those who have not previously attended a Catholic Mass, the celebration will include prayers, readings from Sacred Scripture, a homily, and the exchange of vows. Music will accompany the liturgy, and there will be moments when the congregation is invited to stand, sit, or kneel. Please do not feel any concern if you are not Catholic. Your respectful presence is all that is asked, and you are welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. As Catholics, we profess our belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Those who are not Catholic, or who will not be receiving Holy Communion, are warmly invited to come forward with arms crossed over the chest to receive a blessing and share in the recognition of spiritual communion. Above all, what matters most to us is your presence. Whether or not you are Catholic, you are a cherished part of this day, and we look forward to celebrating this sacred moment with you.
