A fortuitous meeting one April night in Miami Beach sparked a connection that led to a first date six months later. From their first moments together Josh and Danny knew they found something special in each other. They deepened this intense connection through shared love of adventure, friends and family, and music and dancing. From Madison to Chicago to Houston to Cincinnati (with a lot of Fire Island and a bit of Berlin sprinkled in), they now look forward to building their lives together in New York City.

Our wedding is a celebration of our love but also the incredible amount of love we have in our lives through our chosen family. As queer author Armistead Maupin describes, "sooner or later, though, no matter where in the world we live, we must join the diaspora, venturing beyond our biological family to find our logical one, the one that actually makes sense for us." This is not to discount our amazing biological families who we love dearly. What is truly special about queer people, however, is our ability to define love in a way that brings it to us in abundance. We are overwhelmed by the amount of love in our lives, and we dedicate this celebration to our family.
