One of our favorite restaurants in Raleigh (and Jordan used to work here!). Incredible laotian food and unique cocktails, it's quickly gaining national recognition as a top restaurant. You'll need a reservation for dinner but you can easily grab a drink at the bar.

A yummy mezcaleria in the heart of downtown.
If you fancy a fancy cocktail in a cool downtown setting.
Durham is a 30-minute drive from Raleigh and another cool city to check out. Similar to Raleigh but with an artsy vibe, Durham has tons of restaurants, historic buildings, bars and breweries (we love Full Steam!). If you're looking for an afternoon or evening outing in between wedding activities, check out the 21c Museum Hotel - a modern boutique hotel with local art and a museum, and stop by the rooftop bar for a drink at The Durham Hotel.
is a 200-mile-long (320 km) string of barrier islands and sits off the coast of North Carolina. They cover most of the North Carolina coastline. There are a number of amazing beach towns that all contain their own unique tourist destinations such as Kitty Hawk and Cape Hatteras. The weather in late May and early June is typically perfect for hanging out on the beach, and enjoying the nightlife.
Wilmington is another amazing place if you're into the beach life. It's also much closer at only about 100 miles SE of Raleigh. Wilmington is more of a mid-size city, so there is tons to do downtown, and in the surrounding area. Our favorite spots in the area are Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and the bars and restaurants downtown.
