Lauren and Tyler met on September 5th, 2015 at the Country Jam concert at Legend Valley. They were both at the concert with mutual Johnstown friends. Tyler approached Lauren confidently and they instantly hit it off. They sang, danced and adventured while listening to Eric Church on the cool summer night. The rest was history.
Just days before Christmas, Tyler was planning on asking Lauren to spend forever with him. Lauren and Tyler had plans on the chilly Friday night to have a date night and go out to dinner. Lauren was looking forward to a night with just the two of them. Tyler planned on being home from a busy day of Christmas shopping around 5 PM to get ready for their date night. 5 PM turned to 6 and 6 turned to 7. As hours passed, Lauren got frustrated that Tyler was still not home and decided to change into comfy clothes and call it a night. When Tyler got home, he was acting super strange and Lauren instantly picked up on it and got a nervous pit in her stomach. Before she knew it, Tyler was down on one knee with tears in his eyes in front of the Christmas tree with a ring in his hand and our puppy Ellie by our side in the comfort of our home. It turns out the reason Tyler was so late that night, was because he was actually with Laurens father asking permission to marry his daughter. It wouldn't have taken so long but Tyler was struggling to work up the nerve to ask and Ed wasn't going to let Tyler off easy. The beginning too forever.
