Welcome to our wedding website, we can’t wait to celebrate our special day with you! We’ve created this website as a convenient and interactive way to share all of the important details about our wedding. Growing up only a couple miles from each other, Katie and Sam have known each other since kindergarten. Fast forward to 2010, their junior year of high school where the two shared physics class together. Over time spent in class and studying for exams, the two began dating in January of 2011. They’ve been on many adventures together, including four years at Clemson University. Katie and Sam both now live and work in Atlanta, Georgia.

For the past two years, Sam has been working for McCarthy Builders in Atlanta at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. This construction involves building a new, larger than life canopy at the pick up and drop off area of the airport. On March 16, 2019, Katie and Sam were leaving a work event when Sam's boss called him to tell him there were electrical issues on the canopy and he needed to get to the airport as soon as he could. Katie and Sam then went to the airport to check out the issue. Katie and Sam were under the canopy at the North Terminal pick up and drop off looking up and "inspecting" for any issues. As the canopy was going through a series of light displays, the last scene appeared in purple lettering that said "Marry Me Katie?". Katie was so surprised as she saw Sam get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. Celebration immediately began with Katie and Sam's family coming from around the corner with champagne.
