When should I book my lodging?

Answer

As soon as possible! Hood River is a beautiful, but small town in Oregon. The fact that it's a destination area for weddings, on top of a holiday weekend makes it very competitive. We’ve blocked 25 rooms at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn for our guests - this is a great spot that’s in town and loved by locals. We recommend grabbing a spot now so that you can be close to everything! There are some Airbnb and Vrbo options also. Plus there are other small towns close by if options are limited - such as White Salmon, Stevenson and Mosier.

Are there Ubers or Lyfts?

Answer

Unfortunately no. There is a city ordinance that restricts ride-share in Hood River. There is one taxi company and a PediCab option, however it's best to plan on driving or walking. We will provide shuttles for the wedding day and will try to plan all events in an area closest to town! If you're worried about indulging, definitely check out lodging closer to the center or town or near the breweries on the riverfront!

Can I bring my young kiddos?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, and have two young members of the wedding party, we are asking that this weekend you come solo! Enjoy a fun getaway with your friends and take plenty of pics to show the babies how cool their parents are!

How do I get to Hood River?

Answer

If you're not from the state, the best way is to fly into Portland, rent a car and drive. It's approximately 1 hour outside of Portland, but the drive is incredible! You'll really get a beautiful view of Oregon on your way into Hood River. On the way, stop by Multnomah Falls - the tallest waterfall in Oregon! If driving seems daunting, you can check out Columbia Area Transit (CAT), Amtrak (service from Union Station to Bingen, WA), or the Greyhound bus.

When do all the festivities start?

Answer

We will be in Hood River as early as Wednesday and would love to be able to spend as much time with everyone as we can! Therefore, we’ve planned some pre and post-wedding events that everyone is welcome to join as they are able! We have outdoor activities and food/drink experiences planned which can be found on the “Schedule” page. We appreciate that you’ve traveled far to see us and want to spend this long weekend celebrating with you! If you’re interested in doing some solo exploring, please do! There is SO much to do in Hood River and it should be a beautiful weekend! We have rooms blocked from Thursday-Monday in case our guests want to come early and leave a bit later.
