Great news! The Tundra lodge has told us that they are continuing their events as planned. So as long as something doesn’t change from now until July 18th with a break out in more Covid-19 cases. Our wedding will go on as planned July 18th. Look forward to seeing you all!
Taylor and I met on a summer soccer team, but our relationship didn’t start until a few years later when he started a volleyball team. After one of our games he was talking about going out for karaoke, which I had never done before and had to see. The two of us went and said we’d only be out until 10 o’clock at the latest. However, after hours of talking and me begging him to sing, we ended up leaving at midnight and did not sing a single song. I wasn’t sure if he was that interested in me at that first, but we ended up dating two weeks later.
Taylor had me totally fooled. He had been saying that we’d be engaged in maybe 2-5 years (depending on the day it was on the lower or higher end). He also said that it would be a complete surprise for everyone because he wasn’t going to let anyone know about his plans (we all know that wasn’t the case either). So when I went to help get things ready for his family’s annual pig roast everything seemed normal, up until karaoke started. Karaoke normally doesn’t start until later in the night with less spectators, so when Taylor’s sister and brother in-law started a Lizzo song with the whole crowd still there I was shocked. I wasn’t surprised that Taylor was next in line after them but questioned his song choice. After the first love song transitioned to another and so on, I knew something was up. I was able to keep it together until he approached me and got down on one knee, and at that point we were both crying (Taylor claims he had dust in his eyes). It was so special having close family and friends to share the moment and celebrate with us!
