Bryce first met his best friend, Matt, in 2012 while they were both stationed at Aviano Air Base, Italy. During that time, he was also fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible group of fitness enthusiasts and lifelong friends, including Mike Stoermer (a 100-mile-running machine), Alex Valenzuela (a true chiseled god), and Don (the man who can bring everyone together). He also forged strong bonds with Nate Reinhart (a chef extraordinaire whose eggs are legendary) and later, Jim (a smooth talker and exceptional snowboarder). Among all the memories Bryce shares with Matt, one stands out above the rest: the time Matt saved his life in Tenerife, Spain, during a week long leave. It was in that moment Bryce knew Matt wasn’t just a friend, he was family. Each groomsman in Matt’s lineup shares a deep, meaningful connection with him, embodying the rare and invaluable friendships that make life so special.

Over the years, it has weathered the challenges and milestones of elementary, middle, high school, and beyond. Their bond remains steadfast, always finding time to support each other no matter what life threw their way. As adults, they’ve continued to nurture their friendship, making it a priority to check in, catch up, and share in each other’s triumphs and challenges. Michael is Matt’s slightly shorter but faster snowboarding—Broother from another moother. Together they can pick up more weight than a Pallet Jack. While Matt may be the real forklift driver, Michael can set up a tent in under 3 minutes. Matt occasionally comes to Michael to compare their quadriceps as well as life strategies. Michael met Matt at Officer Training School and connected over their mutual friend, Bryce Dick (the legend himself), as well as their closely tied Air Force assignment history. Their shared passion for fitness initially brought them together, and over the years, they’ve remained close through snowboarding, cycling, raves, and countless adventures. Michael considers Matt a fascinating individual and feels truly blessed to call him one of his closest friends.

Friends since high school, Kim and Kelly formed a bond through grueling morning swim practices, spontaneous Target outings, jam sessions to their favorite music, and countless hilarious, unforgettable moments. Their friendship flourished through the highs and lows of teenage life and the party continued well into adulthood. Kelly has always been a steady source of support, offering encouragement, wisdom, and a listening ear no matter the situation, and their friendship has remained a constant source of joy and strength in Kim's life.
Tyson Sullivan

Tyson met Matt late in high school through club swimming, where they unknowingly signed a lifetime agreement to be close friends. Alongside Tyson’s brother, Stephen, the three formed a tight bond, and even their parents developed a strong connection. Tyson is incredibly grateful to have Matt in his life, knowing that whether they’re soaring through life’s highs or navigating its lows, they’ve always been there for each other. One of Tyson’s favorite memories is teaching kiteboarding to Matt, who not only embraced the challenge but stuck with it. Sharing time on the water and sailing together has created some of their best days and strongest memories. Tyson couldn’t be happier for Matt and Kim, and their love gives hope to all the perpetual bachelors out there that a special someone is truly worth the wait. Even though Kim and Madelyn grew up in different cities, their paths crossed at their grandparents' church when Madelyn was visiting her family. Kim and Madelyn always connected at swim meets, and over the years, their friendship has only grown stronger. Through countless ups and downs, and unforgettable adventures, they’ve always had each other’s backs. Kim is so grateful for her ride or die!

Caleb first crossed paths with Matt through an unexpected connection—Matt was friends with Caleb’s younger brother, while Caleb was friends with Matt’s older sister. Through a twist of fate, the two became friends later in life and have since shared incredible adventures, including trips to Dubai and South Africa. Over the years, Caleb and Matt have stayed in touch, discovering shared interests in working and living abroad, health and fitness goals, and navigating life’s journeys. Now living in Thailand, Caleb manages the 12-hour timezone difference as best he can but is excited to connect with everyone and looks forward to meeting the rest of the group at the wedding!

Alex is Kim’s ultimate upside-down bestie! Their bond goes beyond the physical, as they share a free-spirited energy that fuels their creativity and passion. They’ve performed together, pushing each other to new heights, and learned aerial acrobatics side by side, always supporting one another, literally and figuratively. In their personal journeys, their friendship has been a source of strength and inspiration and even though they now live apart, the distance doesn’t diminish their connection. Their friendship remains as strong as ever, anchored by deep trust, shared memories, and unwavering support that have always defined their connection.

Nate Rhinehart met Matt by chance while they were both deployed to Ramstein Air Base—Nate as a BioMedical Engineer Technician. They quickly bonded over their shared love of biking and BBQ and began spending a lot of time together. Some of Nate’s favorite memories with Matt include flying to Italy to go snowboarding, where he first met Don and Dick; attending a wild wedding party in Germany; and traveling to Croatia for Ultra Music Festival. There are so many more memories, and Nate feels truly humbled and excited to be part of this group. He’s looking forward to getting together and celebrating with everyone soon.

Jim met Matt a few years ago through a mutual friend, Mike Stoermer, when Matt was stationed at the Air Force Academy alongside him. They quickly discovered a shared love for snowboarding, cycling, camping, and hiking, which led to a strong friendship. Although their bromance fizzled a bit once Kim came into the picture, Jim quickly realized that she helped Matt elevate his cool level. Jim even encouraged Matt to seal the deal with Kim, knowing it was the right next step. He’s excited to celebrate Matt and Kim’s wedding and looks forward to connecting with everyone in the days leading up to and during the big event!

But mostly, their time was spent drinking and having fun until someone passed out. He’s excited to see everyone again and honored to stand by Matt and Kim on their big day!

From 4:30 AM CrossFit workouts to 1:00 AM parties at the discotecas, they created unforgettable memories while exploring Italy together. Over the years, their friendship deepened as they stayed connected, continuing to support and inspire one another through life’s adventures.
