You’d imagine that going to the same university and even working in the same building would’ve given us at least one accidental run-in to meet the old fashioned way. But God works in His own timing, and instead of an elevator encounter or campus moment, He brought us together through a dating app. Our first date was dinner at Firebirds, and what was supposed to be a simple meal turned into hours of conversation at Sidecar afterward. From that night on, we’ve been pretty much inseparable. By the third date, Garrett was already picking Jordan up from the airport—something that somehow felt completely natural, even then. Looking back, it’s easy to see that none of this was accidental. The invisible string theory hints at unseen connections & we believe God was gently guiding our steps the whole time. “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” — Proverbs 16:9. And now, trusting the One who brought us together, we’re excited to walk the rest of those steps side by side.
