It all started with a swipe — like all great modern romances do. Thanks to Bumble, our lives collided, and we found out pretty quickly that this thing was going to be something special. For our first date, we hit up The Operating Room (yes, an arcade bar — because we’re fun like that), then followed it up with a classy meal at The Cheesecake Factory. Romance and pinball? A winning combo. But the real magic happened a few dates later at the Iowa State Fair — where fried food, farm animals, and the sky ride somehow made falling in love feel like the easiest thing in the world. It was like coming home to someone we’d known our whole lives. Fast forward to a beach on Lake Huron. Fireworks light up the sky. Kevin, a man who *never* asks for pictures, suddenly insists we take one. Suspicious? Just a bit. Seconds later, he’s down on one knee, asking Erica to spend forever with him — and the rest is history (plus a really great engagement photo). Together, we love traveling, watching movies, singing in the car (okay, mostly Erica), and taking long walks — sometimes with our furry entourage in tow. Speaking of which… We share our home with the best little crew: Hank, our low-riding Corgi with big opinions; Josie, our lovable German Shorthaired Pointer who we adopted together; and Spanky, our cat and honorary wedding party member. They’re a huge part of our love story, and they kind of run the place. Kevin loves Erica’s kindness, her dedication, her brilliant brain, and the fact that she loves harder than anyone he’s ever met (sometimes so hard he has to catch up!). Erica loves Kevin’s patience, his calming presence, his love for his family, and how much fun life is with him by her side.
