It all started at a Howard party. If you know us, you know how odd it is. Shout out to our persistent friends who played Cupid. It took the whole spring semester, but we started texting that summer and the rest is history. From undergrad to graduate degrees, from late-night jokes to deep, life-changing moments, our love has grown through everything. Over the years, we’ve built a relationship grounded in patience, laughter, and unwavering support. We’ve walked together through some of life’s most difficult moments—including the loss of both of our mothers and Kevin’s time in the hospital. Through every season, God has kept us—and we know He’s the reason we’re still standing, still loving, and still choosing each other. Kevin proposed at Joneé’s graduation dinner, surrounded by friends and family. He had already asked for her mother’s blessing before she passed—a moment we’ll treasure forever. Now, years later, we share a home filled with laughter, love, and two very spoiled cats. Our love is patient, unconditional, and once in a lifetime. It’s rooted in friendship and faith—the kind that feels like a 90s Black romance movie. We’re so excited to take this next step, and even more grateful to do it with all of you.
