We actually met at work! I was living in Missoula going to the university and working 2 jobs. I was an auto glass technician and I worked in the COVID unit at St. Pat’s Hospital. I eventually moved home and transferred to the Safelite in Great Falls where I met Jon. We were friends for over 6 months before we started dating.

We were camping in Flathead and spent most of the day jumping off of a boat and exploring the waters. We had to return the boat at 6 and it was getting chilly out. Once we got back to our campsite, we got changed and Jon asked me to go look for rocks on the shore and take pictures with him. That’s my favorite thing to do, I usually stuff my pockets and his with pretty rocks every time we go camping. We got in the water about ankle-high and I started searching. He asked me to look at the rock he found and when I turned around, he was on one knee with a ring. Of course I immediately started crying. He asked me to marry him and I couldn’t have said ‘yes’ any faster. We can’t see life without each other in it, we were both so happy. We walked back to the campsite hand-in-hand and celebrated by grilling steaks and potatoes and watching the stars come out.
