Girl Meets Boy

Is your dog's name ACTUALLY Taco?!

In 2017, just before Christmas, Chelsea was using Bumble - a dating app that let's women make the first move. She signed in to the app to delete her account, but a picture of an adorable shaggy puppy popped up, and the man (Jon) in the picture was pretty cute, too. After reading the bio as far as "My dog's name is Taco," Chelsea decided she had to say something to Jon...and "Hey, cute dog" wasn't going to cut it. So instead, she asked the only thing that popped in to her head - "Cute dog! But is his name ACTUALLY Taco?!" Clearly that question was a winner, because it lead to a first date and then a second and, well, you know the rest. :)

The Proposal

SPIDER!

On March 11th, 2020, Jon and Chelsea were on vacation in Jamaica. They were enjoying an action packed day of Jamaican excursions planned with their friends. First up, they went to the Blue Hole where everyone basically climbed to the top of a big waterfall and jumped from ledges and cliffs into deep natural pools. Next was tubing down the White River, finishing with zip lining over the river. It was a day full of adventure, laughter and fun. When everyone returned to the resort, they cleaned up and met their friends for a fancy dinner on the pier. After a relaxing meal, everyone took a walk around the resort. After Chelsea had commented on how pretty the moon was, Jon saw his opportunity and said "Let's take a picture, then!" After snapping a nice shot together, Chelsea started walking away, so Jon had to think fast and shouted "Spider!" Chelsea stopped in her tracks and turned around in a panic (spiders are terrifying!), where she found Jon on one knee. Clearly, Chelsea said yes.
