We first met online through a small Christian dating app called Holy in June 2023. From his very first message, I could tell that Jonny was so genuine and such a gentleman. The dilemma was how we lived 170 miles away ~ myself being in Harleysville, PA, and Jonny residing in Falls Church, VA ~ though distance alone was not going to keep us apart once we entered each other’s lives. When Jonny joyfully offered to take the first journey north to PA just for a first date with me, I knew he was the real deal!

Our very first embrace took place on the side of the highway in Northern Maryland on a bright Sunday a few days after our first FaceTime. The plan was to meet in Lancaster, PA, though my car tire had other plans when it got a puncture northbound on I-83. Being the most caring person in the world, Julia came to my aid with some much-needed gas station lunch. The day was nothing like we planned, yet better than we could’ve anticipated. We went from fixing my tire to enjoying a sunset pizza picnic at a local brewery overlooking the countryside.

Taking the next steps forward felt like diving head-first into the unknown for the both of us. How in the world do we start a relationship states apart? By resolving to relentlessly pursue a life together! For the first year, we made a long-distance relationship part of our lifestyle, bouncing between extended visits in PA and VA. Here we are now! Counting down the days with you all, with brimming anticipation of what the Lord will do in and through us through our marriage. We couldn’t be more thrilled to invite you to a celebration of our covenantal union together!!!
