Flight
SLC Airport has a good shuttle system to downtown, and is pretty accessible. Your best bets for flights are usually Delta & Southwest from Oakland, and sometimes Alaska Airlines from SFO.
Travel Note
The drive from the Bay Area is about 11 hours straight. There's not a ton of options for places to stay if you are going to take the drive in 2 days- we usually stay in Winnemucca, NV (it's just as bad as it sounds) or you can hit up Reno which is around the 7 hour mark on the return leg from SLC. It's doable in one day, but is a stretch and make sure you are gassed up through NV as there's not many places to stop.
