We'd met initailly on a dating app. So were planning our first date and here I thought she was local as in 10 miles away. Lo and behold she was 100 miles away. I was buying movie tickets and making dinner reservations for a location only I was going to show up for. Clearly the app locator had a sense of humor. Initially, I'm sure she thought that I would change my mind, but I learned that the best things in life don't always come to the front door delivered with a bow. Some gifts you have to make room for arrival and others you may just have to go get it yourself.
I proposed to Shev on my visit to see her in Germany. We'd had our schedule rearranged a few times. It was frustrating and we still considered ourselves lucky and made it count. We got engaged in Munich where we both met up at after a long drive and an even longer flight. I tried to make it a surprise but my fiance is kind of nosey. Haha. I had help planning a surprise proposal with our hotel staff. They did what they could with decor, bless their heart. Even got us two rooms. We spent that wknd as an engaged couple and had a great time exploring a new city together.
