We had first seen each other at the gym through a mutual friend but never really even said hello to each other. We were both in marriages at the time and so the thought never crossed our minds. 5 years later, after not seeing each other or never even saying hello, our paths crossed once again. Jon was working at the Coast Guard base in Elizabeth City, NC and I was dropping Nick off at work. He motions for me to stop as I am on my way out the back gate. I stop and he asked me if I remembered who he was, I said yes. About a month later we were finally able to get together and hangout, after countless conversations over the phone. Neither one of us really looking for a relationship and we had both made that clear to each other. After a few dinners together, Jon tells me he lied to me. With a puzzled look, I said well it doesn't matter because we aren't together. He said no I lied about not wanting a relationship, will you be my girl? In my mind I was like "ok Robyn play it cool and act like you haven't been wanting to be with him and hoping he would ask" lol. So I said yes and the rest is history! God clearly had a different plan for us because here we are! We sure didn't see that coming but we are extremely happy and grateful that this is the end result. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
