We were going to go to Chicago for Jon's Birthday and stop half way in st. Joseph and see family. On that Thursday afternoon around lunch time I talked to Jon and he said there was a bad snow storm in St. Joseph where our half way point was and his Brother said we shouldn't chance the trip. So those of you who know me know how I don't like a change in plans and I had all our bags packed and didn't know where we would end up. Jon assured me we will would still go somewhere and not to worry he had a backup plan. I reluctantly said ok and headed to meet him after work not knowing where we were going. I got to his work and he said his Bosses' had helped him come up with another plan and he had been talking to my Brother Michael finding out things about a plan b, So it came down to making a choice to chance it and go to Chicago or Traverse City. Jon said he had found some lighthouses we could go and see after he had remembered me saying I want to see them in the winter time. So we were off to Traverse City and not a definite plan in mind which is way out of the box for me but, I'm glad I did. We saw some of God's handiwork on that trip and on the way back to the hotel from seeing lighthouses Jon pulled off the road on a little turnoff by the lake and it just happened to be next to a restaurant call Knot Just A Bar. Jon said well since were here I have a question to ask you I have my Grandma's ring who was a very important person in my life and I was wondering if you would like to wear it and tie the knot with me. Of Course I said Yes! I had felt so bad because Jon had a special trip planned for us to Chicago and it was "ruined" but, he still made the most out of the new adventure we took and we made memories that I'll never forget. I wouldn't change his proposal for anything.
