We’re so excited to celebrate with you!

We met at a Halloween party thrown by mutual friends. Rachael was dressed as Minnie Mouse and Jon as a penguin. Rachael was playing flip cup outside and realized the teams were uneven and needed someone to match up with her. She saw a guy standing in the corner dressed in a penguin costume and yelled "Hey you, the penguin! Come over here!" They played a few rounds of flip cup and went their separate ways. After the game, Jon kept trying to casually "bump" into Rachael at the party and talk, but Rachael unknowingly kept moving away from Jon every time he got close. Eventually Jon tracked her down and asked for her phone number. They went on their first date a few days later at their now favorite bar, Hudson Street Stackhouse.

Rachael and Jon were in Bloomsburg, PA for the weekend visiting Rachael's family over the summer. For a few months the couple had been talking about doing a bike ride on the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg, ending at Rusty Rail Brewing Company. On that day, Rachael, Jon, and Allison (Rachael's sister) started on the bike trail and about halfway through Jon stopped to "fix his bike seat" and proposed! They finished the bike ride and at the end of the trail family and friends were waiting to celebrate at Rusty Rail!
