FAQs

Question

Do I need an adapter?

Answer

No, the electrical outlets are 110v, just like home.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing transportation on wedding day.

Question

Can I drink the water?

Answer

Yes, the water in Tamarindo is potable. There is bottled water, if you prefer.

Question

Do they accept USD?

Answer

Yes, USD are widely accepted in Costa Rica. They do not accept ripped, old or bills with writing on them so double check before you leave!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a relaxing get away, without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children at the wedding. However, they are welcome to our pre-wedding night party on the beach at Namu.

Question

Are the suggested hotels close to the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, all hotels suggested here on the website are close to the wedding venue and the pre-night party. We selected Tamarindo because it is fun, walkable, and lively! FYI The Guanacaste area is about a 30-45 minute car ride from The Tamarindo area and Playa Conchal is about a 30 minute car ride from Tamarindo. While these are great areas to stay, they aren't as conveniently located by Tamarindo.

Question

Are Airbnbs an option?

Answer

Yes, there are also many villas, houses, and Airbnb options as well in the area. From my research they sleep a maximum of 8 couples or so. January-March is the high season so I would book your preferred accommodations sooner than later :)
