The town of Sonora is approximately a 3 hour drive from the California Bay Area. For those who are flying in from out of town, we recommend flying into San Francisco International Airport (SFO). If you have extra time, spend a day or two taking advantage of all the Bay has to offer. Reach out to us if you need recommendations. Alternatively, you may also fly into Oakland International Airport (OAK) or Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Unfortunately there is not a direct public transit option available from the bay area to Sonora. We recommend renting a car. Below are some of our recommendations for lodging. If you would prefer a house or cabin, there are plenty of homes available on AirBNB. We recommend searching in either Sonora, Columbia or Twain Harte.
