FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jonathan Chow and Michelle Sabado
Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We will be sending formal invitations soon! Please RSVP within the deadline to ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably.

Question

Can I bring an additional guest?

Answer

Our celebration is strictly RSVP only and will only be able to accommodate those listed on our invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, kids listed in the invitation are welcomed! The wedding will be held at an outdoor botanical garden where they may explore, but we ask that they are always supervised by a parent/guardian. Lastly, please keep in mind there will be music and alcohol present at the event.

Question

What should I expect weather wise?

Answer

In May, the weather in Walnut Creek should be warm during the day but we recommend bringing a light wrap, jacket, or sweater for the cooler evenings.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will have a semi-formal/cocktail dress code, such as dresses, suit and tie, or a sports coat. Our theme is wildflowers, so we welcome superbloom colors like orange, yellow, blue, purple, or pink. Just no red or white clothing please.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Most of the wedding will be held in an outdoor garden. After dinner, we will end the night indoors so as to help meet the venue’s noise curfews.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend everyone arrive at 4pm, an hour before the start of the ceremony, to help ensure everyone is seated on time.

Question

If I’m flying in, which airport should I book?

Answer

Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK) is closer to the event for those who plan on a short stay. Otherwise, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is near to us and recommended for those who plan on staying a little longer.

Question

I plan to drive to the wedding, will there be parking?

Answer

Our venue has very limited parking spaces so we encourage carpooling or parking around Walnut Creek and using Uber/Lyft. Please do not park in the streets neighboring Ruth Bancroft Gardens as it is prohibited.
