What time can we arrive for the wedding?

Answer

Doors at the zoo open promptly at 5:30! You, unfortunately, cannot go to the zoo that day and simply sit in the cafe to wait in the hour between closing and the ceremony.

What airport is the closest one to fly into?

Answer

Hancock international Airport is the closest airport. Ithaca regional airport is about 1.5 hours away as well.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 1st, please! The Zoo requires an exact head count. Please let us know if you’ll be there so we can make sure you have a spot!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately we can only accommodate the people listed on your invitation. We would love to have invited all of our favorite people’s children to attend but there wasn’t enough space.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please include that information in your RSVP. The zoo will be made aware of all guests that need special adjustments.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at the Zoo for everyone. Should it be necessary, the zoo allows for guests to retrieve their vehicles the next day.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation back and forth from the reception and the Courtyard by Marriott for the second half of the reception. Any guest needing transportation to the zoo for the ceremony please be sure to let us know so we can make accommodations for you!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your company on our special day is more than enough for us! However, we know many people want to express their excitement for us with gifts. If you insist on this please check out the registry page here. It shows you our registries for Target and Zola. In addition to getting married we decided to add the chaos and excitement that comes with our first house! So any gift cards to Lowe’s and Home Depot will be put to good use!

Can I post pictures from your big day on social media?

Answer

We would like to keep our ceremony camera/photo free. However, we welcome you to take as many photos as you would like of the zoo, dinner and reception. Make it extra easy for us to find your pictures and use one of our hashtags: #lifethesurineway #soontobesurine

We want to bring a gift to the wedding in NY but the couple lives in Georgia, how will that work?

Answer

Again, we most want you to be a part of our day. But if you choose to give us a gift please don’t bring the actual item to the wedding. A card telling us what it is would be wonderful. We will be leaving for Hawaii the next morning and would have to leave all gifts behind until we were able to return to New York to retrieve them. Both of our registries are designed to let you buy an item online and the companies will ship straight to us! Yay for technology!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says "plus one", then yes please do! If not then we would prefer just you.
