we're getting married!

We grew up on the same street, 6 houses down from each other in our hometown of Chester, VA. We had mutual friends throughout elementary, middle, and high school but became close friends after Logan's freshman year at JMU. For 2 years, we stayed in contact while Logan was away at college. We spent time together in person getting to know one another before officially dating on July 7, 2018!

On a sunny afternoon in June of 2018, we visited the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, VA. We spent our time touring the many rooms and enjoying a few of the interactive exhibits. Our visit ended in the outside garden with the company of 2 black cats that roam the property. The best part, we later went to Cold Stone for dessert. This marked the beginning of our love for ice cream dates!

On this day, Mickey and Logan were visiting Yorktown beach. After a fun day with friends and food, Mickey decided to take Logan on a walk by the pier. We were looking out at the water and during this peaceful moment, Mickey got on one knee and popped the question! Spoiler alert, I said yes!
