Once upon a time Jonathan and Lindsey played Little League Baseball together for the Cleveland Indians in 1995. Lindsey’s dad, Jack was the coach and in the official team photo Lindsey and Jon are sitting side by side in the very front row. Elbow to elbow. Go Tribe! Fast forward 10 years later to Claremont High School where they always caught each other's eye but always remained just friends. Until 10 years after graduating when Jon reached out to Lindsey and she threw her phone across the room due to shock from hearing from her favorite blast from the past! At the time she was living in DC, then San Francisco, and they wouldn’t meet up in Claremont for 3 months. But when they finally did, sparks flew. They both knew, it was always you!

After a fantastic 4th of July celebration at Squaw Valley Mountain skiing and swimming and cruising way too fast on a golf cart, Jon and Lindsey ventured for a hike up in Tahoe with cousins Taylor and James. But this wasn't just any hike, this particular hike up Mount Rose Summit would change their lives forever! They attempted a trail to a beautiful waterfall but the path was altered when three feet of snow foiled their plans. Don’t go chasing waterfalls in July in Tahoe! They decided to navigate a different direction and ended up at a gorgeous outlook of Lake Tahoe. Jon suggested for Lindsey to stand on a rock so he could take her picture. She had no idea what was coming! He got down on one knee and popped the question! She said YES! Everyone on the mountain cheered and clapped! In the commotion the ring box shattered and Lindsey lost her footing and took a tumble, scraping her knee. Jon had literally swept her off her feet! It was all so perfect!
