What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to ensure you are seated by 3:30 pm

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is parking at the ceremony for guests and the reception venue offers complimentary valet parking and plenty of self park options as well.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather dependent) and the reception will be indoors.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual/semi-formal. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What about shoes?

Answer

The wedding will be outside on the grass, so please plan your shoes appropriately to be outside.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in late August in Connecticut can be a mix of both hot weather during the day (around 80 degrees Fahrenheit) and cooler temperatures during the night (around 65 degrees Fahrenheit).

Yes. Please drink responsibly.

What kind of transportation is there?

Answer

Please be aware that this is an area without a lot of public transportation. A rental vehicle is highly recommended if you are flying in. Uber and Lyft are not readily available, especially late at night.

Can I post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #LawsonLoveStory2022 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

What music will be played at the wedding?

Answer

We will be playing classic wedding jams, along with some of the bride and groom's favorite songs. But because we want to dance with everyone, we want to make sure you're hearing music you want to listen to as well! What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
