On August 26th, 2017, I was running an event for new students at Corban University. Jonathan showed up, and I thought he looked familiar. I couldn't place him in my head because I had assumed he was a new student on campus. While I was thinking about that, he thought, "Uhhh who is this hot girl staring at me?" So, we quickly got to talking. I found out that he wasn't a new student, he was actually a sophomore, and he showed up to meet new people. We talked for the rest of the event, failed miserably at a game of spike ball, and found out we both love The Beatles. The next couple months we said hi in passing, but other than that we didn't have much interaction. Meanwhile, Jonathan had been scheming for a way to get to know me better. Eventually, he found out that I was leading another event, so he signed up hoping he would get into my group. It turned out that he did, and when I saw the list, I said "Yay, a cute boy is in my group!" I took my group of students to Five Guys and Jonathan stayed to talk to me after everyone had left. I thought he was adorable, but strange... he talked to me for almost two hours, made a joke about trying LSD, and DIDN'T ask for my number. I wasn't quite sure about him, but after tons of Facebook messages, we went on our first date to EZ orchards. We've never turned back since. Nearly two years later, Jonathan took me to a beautiful spot at Finley Wildlife Refuge and asked me to be his wife. I guess God knew on 8/26/17 that when I was wracking my brain of who the handsome man in front of me was, I was looking at my future husband. And now we are so excited to continue our journey in May ❤️
