Spots fill quickly on nice days, so aim for earlier arrival.
Often called “Chappy Beach” locally, a scenic Buzzards Bay beach with a jetty-backed shoreline and lovely views — popular with locals, especially at sunset. The sandy strip can be narrower at high tide, and the water can have gentle waves good for body surfing. Parking: Parking here is more limited than at some other beaches, and spaces are usually reserved for vehicles with Falmouth beach stickers; there is no standard daily parking fee at this lot. Tip: If the Chappaquoit lot fills up, you can often find daily-fee parking at nearby Old Silver Beach and walk or bike over.
