After talking for about two weeks on Tinder, we finally met in person for our first date on 5/1/2021, and somehow the 11 hour date still didn't feel long enough. Jonathan had made a playlist of songs about hope, love, and words of wisdom for Kristina. The sweetest part? The playlist was timed perfectly to match her drive from Meadville to Zelienople. It was one of the first glimpses into the thoughtful, intentional person he is. When we met around 1pm, there was no awkward handshake. Just a full body hug that instantly showed how natural it all felt. Jonathan's first stop was Baldinger's Candy Shop, where someone immediately asked what the occasion was because we "looked so cute together". We probably should've known right then. From there we had dinner at Della Terra, where conversation came effortlessly, followed by a show at The Strand where we shared a root beer like two middle schoolers on the world's best date. At one point Jonathan asked if Kristina wanted to meet up with a group of his high school friends who were nearby, and she quickly saw the kind, genuine people he surrounded himself with. Somewhere in the middle of that marathon first date, we ended up sitting on a park bench talking honestly and openly about life, relationships, fears, hopes, and everything in between. Neither of us wanted the night to end. We finally said goodnight around midnight with an amazing first kiss. We both later admitted that we couldn't stop smiling all the way home. That first Christmas together, Jonathan gave Kristina one of the most thoughtful gifts she had ever received: a handmade crossword puzzle filled with inside jokes and memories from our relationship. Hidden inside the puzzle was another puzzle... which eventually led to him asking her to move in with him. We said "I love you" for the first time that Christmas during a trip to Florida. Kristina spent the rest of the trip trying to catch Jonathan's eye from across rooms so they could mouth "I love you" to each other again and again. In July 2022, Kristina officially moved from Meadville to live with Jonathan in Ambridge, and life together has felt like home ever since. In 2024, Jonathan recreated our very first date and proposed! Turns out the best thing we ever found on the internet was each other!
