Sometimes, the best things in life happen when you least expect them, and for us, that’s exactly how it happened. We first crossed paths while working together on the same team. A few months in, Jonathan, true to form, started cracking jokes, creating inside references, and generally making it impossible for Kayla to ignore him. It worked. She quickly caught on to his charm and wit, it didn’t take long before she was constantly smiling at her phone, getting called out for laughing at his messages. (Of course, she denied everything.) What started as friendly banter quickly grew into something more. Jonathan found himself wanting to spend more time with Kayla, so one day, he asked if she’d like to grab lunch. Kayla agreed, and that lunch was the first real step toward something neither of us had expected. Afterward, Jonathan invited her to a get-together with some of his friends the following weekend. At first, Kayla wasn’t sure, but Jonathan wasn’t ready to give up. He came into work each day with a new plan, figuring out how to convince her to join him. Eventually, Kayla said yes. From that point on, things just clicked. We became inseparable, from countless ice cream runs to competitive pickleball matches, endless laughter, and adventures across the map, our story has been filled with love, fun, and the best kind of partnership. And here we are now, sharing our story with you as we prepare to start the next chapter of our lives together.
