Jonathan can remember the first time he saw me, but truthfully, I never noticed him! It wasn’t until a few years later, at a church camp, that we were introduced and became friends. Time passed, and the Lord placed us at the same college where we were involved in the same campus ministry. After spending time together in groups with mutual friends, he finally asked me to walk his dog (the oldest trick in the book)! That night, we walked Churro around the Grove for hours, talking about our hopes and dreams. One of the dreams I shared was that I’d always wanted to be married young, to which Jonathan silently thought, "I’m going to be the one to marry her!" A few weeks later, in true Jonathan fashion, he told me he loved me—and was going to marry me—all on the same night... before he even asked me out! What can I say? When you know, you know! Eventually, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and ten months later, he asked if I would marry him. Those questions were the easiest and most joyous Yes’s of my life! I think it’s fair to say we’ve been inseparable since walking Churro that night in the Grove. It’s funny how the Lord uses immense suffering and trials to bring about His glory and lavish blessings on those who love Him. We’ve both seen and experienced God’s faithfulness in our lives, and we are so grateful for how He brought us together. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you and have the best "Davis" ever!
