Flight
Borgo Argiano can be reached via car or train from either Florence, Pisa or Rome airport. Florence is about 1 hr to venue, Pisa is about 1 hr 45 min to venue, Rome is about 2 hr 50 min to venue
Rental Car
Rental Car is the fastest way to travel and the option we highly recommend for getting to the venue. If you would like to explore other options, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Tip: note that manual cars are significantly cheaper and have more options available than automatic. Also if flying into florence, we recommend using the rental companies at the airport, not downtown.
Train
Closest train station is Siena- which is about 20 minutes from the venue/hotel. Taxis/Transportation are available in Siena It takes an average of 2.5hrs to travel from Florence to Siena by train. (Keep in mind- we recommend renting a car)

Travel Note
Make sure your passport is up to date and not expiring within 6 months when you travel in September. They use different plugs in Italy so make sure to bring a converter. & ladies be careful with hair appliances. A lot of them won’t work with the standard converter E-Sims are an easy and affordable way to use your phone data in Italy. I recommend Holafly but there are other good ones out there. Costs 30 dollars for 7 days to use unlimited data. Or you can call your phone company about how much they charge for international data I have read mixed reviews on whether you really need an international drivers permit (IDP) when renting a car in Italy. However we use them just to be safe. It’s easy to get at any AAA office. You just fill out a form and pay 20$ for an IDP. It will be valid for up to one year. Most credit cards charge roughly a 3% international transaction fee, it might be worth it to confirm with your credit card company and if so get a card that doesn’t charge international fees for your trip When asked which currency to pay in, always pay in the countries currency. So when you’re in Italy, always choose to pay in euros instead of USD. If you choose USD you’ll end up paying more Get an AIRTAG for Checked bags Bring Cash (Euros). Most Taxis accept cards but some require cash only. AAA is great about converting USD to EUROS (Cheaper than the fees at the airport) However this can take up to 2 weeks to come in so plan ahead.
