What's the dress code for the Wedding Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

Garden Party Cocktail! Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie. Ladies can wear anything from a below-the-knee dress to a fancy cocktail dress or an elegant jumpsuit. Shoes with a thicker heel or wedges are the ideal types of footwear for our ceremony & reception.

Will the ceremony and cocktail hour be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will take place outside. It should be a beautiful evening, but please bring a wrap in case you get chilly. The Reception will be inside.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. There will be transportation set up to and from Calamigos Ranch and The Four Seasons Westlake Village hotels for the Saddlerock Soirée, Beach Party, Rehearsal Event and Wedding Day festivities. Additional details to come.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is hosted valet parking at the location, but we recommend that you take the shuttles that we are providing for you for your safety at night. Uber is a bit challenging to get as well - we will be up in the Malibu canyons, so you'll be waiting a while.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We *strongly* encourage you to fly in the morning of September 8th so you can experience our action-packed weekend from start to finish! Please check out our "Run of Show" page for more details + dress code recommendations for each event.

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes, at The Four Seasons Westlake Village. Guests also have the option to stay at Calamigos Ranch, which can be booked by calling the Guest Ranch directly. Please check the "Travel" tab for booking information.

What's the weather typically like in Malibu in September?

Answer

September in Malibu is a moderately hot month, with temps in the range of an average high of 78.3°F and an average low of 63.1°F - perfect for outdoor activities and beach time!

Do I have to mail back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

Both, please! We would greatly appreciate it if everyone can RSVP online to each event and then mail in your RSVP card that will come with your invitation. You will also be required to pre-choose your meal of choice on the RSVP card and let us know any dietary requirements that you might have, so the chef can prepare in advance.

Are kids invited to the wedding weekend festivities?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But all wedding weekend activities will be for adults only. You can certainly bring your children with you to Malibu, and we are happy to provide child care recommendations.

What Should I Wear To The Beach Party on Friday?

Answer

Glad you asked (many times…). The event is at the Calamigos Beach Club, one of our favorite venues on the property. It is very much a Beach Club (indoor/outdoor space, multiple floors, live entertainment, restaurant and bar establishment); not just a beach. The Calamigos Beach Club sits on the Pacific Coast Highway overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and certainly has beach access – through a short underpass under the PCH to a private beach club with umbrellas/chairs. Our event and entertainment will be centered around the Club, but anyone who wants to hit the beach is more than welcome to do so. Which also means the attire for the Beach Club is “resort wear,” be comfortable. If you want to hit the beach, bring a bathing suit; but if you want to spend most of the time at the Club, not necessary (for example, the groom has indicated his time will be spent at the Club). “Vintage California Themed” though? Most of the “theming” is being taken care of by us, so don’t stress over your attire. If you have a fun “vintage California” outfit, we’d love to see it. If you just go “resort wear,” you’ll fit right in as well. Keep it light, keep it fun, good vibrations.
