The Wedding Website of Jonathan Stephenson and Jessyka Scherer

Jonathan Joseph StephensonJonathan Joseph Stephenson

Groom

Jonathan (32) was born in Colorado before moving to Wyoming and then to Idaho. He studied Engineering before starting a business as a private contractor which he ran successfully for five years. He has since started working in the CNC machining industry and is now a quality inspector for a local business. In his spare time, Jonathan loves running, hiking, music, board games, video games, 3D printing, and frisbee golf. "Why I fell in love with Jess. It's hard to pinpoint one thing or one moment. I remember our first date, sitting across from each other at a coffee table and just thinking "she has the most beautiful eyes. " And "I love the color of her hair." When we talked it was so natural and easy. It was like meeting someone you've known for a long time, but somehow you just met. I have troubles finding the words to describe the amazing feeling you gave me when we took our first picture together and you put your arm around me. You are more than I had ever hoped for in a wife. You are thoughtful, kind, caring, beautiful, funny, playful, smart, and wise. Each day I love you more."

Jessyka Ann SchererJessyka Ann Scherer

Bride

Jess (29) grew up in Boise, Idaho. She attended both CWI and NNU before graduating in 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education with a science endorsement. She has spent the years since teaching 1st grade and 6th grade math, science, civil engineering, and coding/robotics. In her free time, Jess loves to read, hike, paint, bake, travel, and knit. If there is a new coffee shop or book store, you can probably find her there. "I fell in love with Jonathan because he is kind, hardworking, strong, intelligent, and funny. He has integrity, and he earnestly desires to be a Godly man who leads with love. I never have to wonder where I stand on his priority list. I know that after God, I come before everything else in his eyes. He is the perfect match for my personality. He brings calm when I’m always on the go, steadiness when I worry, and love in every moment. He shows up for me in both big and small ways, from staying up late on the phone with me while printing worksheets for my students when my printer wouldn’t work, to surprising me with coffee at work when I need encouragement. He never lets me forget how loved I am."
