Jonathan and Jessica met in 2014 in an English class at Palomar College. Jessica sat in the back with her little group of friends and Jonathan sat in the front with his. They didn’t really talk, but Jonathan was always curious about Jessica. They both graduated from Palomar and transferred to different universities: Jessica to UC Santa Barbara and Jonathan to Cal State Long Beach. Flash forward a year: Jessica and Jonathan returned home for the summer and reconnected with their Palomar College friends. A few days later, what was supposed to be just a coffee date turned into dinner, followed by a movie, spending entire days together, and everything after.

For Christmas, Jessica and Jonathan took a mini-trip to Julian. On Christmas Eve night, in their cozy Bed & Breakfast room, they opened their presents in pajamas. Jonathan told Jessica he had one last gift and to shut her eyes. She opened them and saw Jonathan on his knee, holding her ring in a box. She said yes before he could even finish the question. Best Christmas ever.

On September 6th, 2019, Jessica and Jonathan were married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family.
