Maid of Honor
As my younger sister, Caden has become not just family but one of my closest friends. Getting to know and be around Caden is relaxing and fun and we always have the best time whether it's going to try new food, watching tv shows, or giving me fashion advice. She's funny, quick witted, and an incredible dancer (just wait until you see her on the dance floor). I am both honored and privileged to call you my sister and friend and cannot wait to have you stand by me in the joy of this season.
Best Man
Clay and I met on the soccer field and still share our love of soccer (mostly Chelsea FC) even today. Aside from Jesse there is no one else that has shared more seasons of life with me than Clay. So here’s a couple things I’ve learned about Clay along the way; I’m convinced We have seen each other through some of our worst seasons and shared some of our best. If you’ve met Clay then you know his witty remarks and sense of humor are unmatched! Clay carries with him an authentic spirit and calm demeanor that I have always appreciated. Clay knows my biggest flaws and still chooses to remain my closest friend and in this way, has constantly pointed me back to Jesus. I am thrilled to have him as my best man.
Bridesmaid
Ella is Jonathan's younger sister and gaining another sister is a huge joy in life! Ella is so much fun to be around and knows how to make people feel so valued and loved. She is passionate about caring for others and has a huge heart that I admire so much. She is a true hype woman and always fun to hang out with! I am so glad that I get to join the family and get to know her better as a new sister!
Groomsman
Although Sully and I have different hobbies and interests, he is the best older brother I could have hoped for. Sully's selflessness and loyalty to his friends and family have taught me a lot about serving others well. As a younger brother this is something that I have always admired. We've shared a lot of life together, from little kids playing hide and seek in the clothing racks at Walmart to going on 12-mile hikes in Amicalola Falls State Park in pouring rain. I may never stop teasing him about stealing his height, but he's quick to remind me that I won't be able to grow a beard until I'm 35, so I guess we're even. I’m pumped to have my big brother stand by my side on my wedding day!
Bridesmaid
Hannah is Jonathan's older sister and someone that I have always looked up to. Since we are both the oldest siblings, we have a lot in common on the way that we think and operate so getting to know each other was very natural. I have so enjoyed getting to know her and hanging out playing games at family events and beach trips. Hannah is calm and confident, a hard worker, and the best mom to her two little kids! I am so excited to gain an older sister and continue to get to develop my friendship with Hannah!
Groomsman
Matthew Murray. If anyone had told us as 12 year olds that we’d be considered responsible adults some day I can promise you we would not have believed them. Growing up as ministry kids bonds you in a way that is hard to explain. Matthew is a natural leader with a big personality. He has a discipline and desire for knowledge that I have always admired and loves to bring others along in this pursuit of knowledge. He is never too busy for a friend and is definitely the guy you want in your corner. From long boarding down the parking garages of Samford, snowboarding in Montana or hiking and camping around Tennessee Matthew and I have shared so much life together. I am thankful to be able to share this day with him.
Bridesmaid
Mikala. My oldest friend who has been with me through so many seasons of life. I am so thankful that she became my friend that day in study hall in high school. We have laughed and cried together and been all over the country together. My go to hiking buddy who is always down to eat a whole pizza with me. There is something incredibly special about old friends and I'm so grateful for her. She is so patient and incredibly wise beyond her years; someone who is always excited to try new things. I can't wait for you to stand by me and get to walk through this next season with me.
Groomsman
Bailey Howard and I met on a cross country peach tour. It’s hard not to get close to someone you spend every waking hour with 10 weeks in a row for two summers. However, some of my favorite memories with Bailey have been watching each other try not to wipe out while bombing down black diamonds on the snowboard/ski trips that Clay, Bailey, and myself have taken over the past couple of winters! Bailey has never met a stranger and so easily puts a smile on everyone’s face. Wouldn’t want this day to go by without him standing by my side!
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I met in nursing school. We became roommates and fast friends sharing so many long hours at Wildflower tea, our favorite study spot. We have shared lots of laughter, tears, and so much life together. She has always been there for me, no matter where we live always there to give encouragement and dream big with me. She is always down to call and catch up or go out and buy plants to add to our collections. She has the sweetest heart and is the most positive, optimistic person who shines light to everyone she meets.
Groomsman
Zach has been someone I consider a close friend and mentor since my freshman year of college. Zach is intentional, thoughtful, wise, and has a great sense of humor. One of my favorite Zach memories is when he ran into me while I was on my way to class and decided that I needed to skip class and go hike with him. When I pushed back he told me “in five years will you remember this class or the hike we’re about to go on?” I couldn’t tell you what class I was going to attend that day but I could tell you all about that hike!
Bridesmaid
Jasmine and I met through working at Vanderbilt. We both started residency there and initially met while taking some of the beginning classes. However, since we worked opposite shifts, we did not get close until about a year after work began. I was struggling feeling very alone at work when Jasmine randomly came up to me at work and said "wanna go to the beach??" And the rest is history. We went on a crazy trip to the beach where they stayed in an RV infested with roaches and ended up sleeping in my car the whole week! We have been friends ever since, always making plans to travel to whatever beach is available. Jasmine is fun, a great leader, always down to create an adventure, and so brave. I am lucky to have found a lifetime friend at a time when I needed it most.
Groomsman
I met James in middle school. James and I were two of the four guys in our class of 17 and quickly became friends. Though we were not as close in high school, James and picked up where we left off in college. One of my favorite qualities of James is how passionately he pursues Christ in everything that he does. James is a friend I can always count on to give me a Christian perspective on things and encourage me through the ups and downs of my faith.
Bridesmaid
Laura and I became friends through work (nothing like shared trauma am I right?) Thanks to Jasmine we got connected and were fast friends. Meeting Laura was such sweet timing when I needed friends who loved and supported me. Between sharing work stories and traveling to Mexico together, this friendship is one that I will cherish forever. And to top it off, its a fun story to tell that Jonathan and Jesse went to prom in the same group as Laura and didn't even know it! I'm so happy to have you stand by me on this important day.
Flower Girl
Our Katie girl. Always making us laugh and keeping us on our toes. We are so excited to have you as our flower girl on our day!! We are so honored to get to be your aunt and uncle and cannot wait to continue seeing you grow into the wonderful and very spunky girl that you are. We love you Katie!
