A Mehndi night is a traditional celebration where family and friends gather to honor the bride and groom before their wedding. Ours will begin with the pithi ceremony, where turmeric is gently applied to the couple as a blessing of prosperity, protection, and radiance. Guests can then enjoy the artistry of henna, with skilled mehndi artists creating intricate designs on their hands and feet. The evening will also feature vibrant Bollywood dance performances from close family and friends, and a spread of our favorite Indian and Pakistani dishes. For us, this night is both a tribute to tradition and a chance to surround ourselves with love and blessings as we begin the next chapter of our lives together.

The Nikkah is the wedding ceremony where our marriage will be made official in front of our family and friends. It will include the signing of the marriage contract, along with prayers and blessings, marking the start of our life together. The Nikkah is both a sacred and joyful occasion, and we’re grateful to share it with the people closest to us.

For the Mehndi night, colorful and festive outfits are encouraged. This is one of the most vibrant celebrations of the wedding, so think bold colors, playful patterns, and styles that are comfortable for dancing and celebrating. For the Nikkah ceremony, the dress code is more elegant and refined. Softer tones and more formal attire work best for this occasion, reflecting the sacredness of the ceremony.
