Things To Do

There is so much to do in the Mad River Valley! We've listed some activities, restaurants, etc. below. We will gladly talk your ear off about fun things to do, so just let us know if you have any questions!

Go mountain biking!

Did we plan a wedding in Vermont as an excuse to revisit some our favorite mountain biking trails? ;) Cady Hill in Stowe is one of our all time favorite places to mountain bike! The trails behind American Flatbread (e.g., Evolution and Cyclone) are also a lot of fun and Blueberry Lake is a great option for beginners! Stay tuned for more info on mountain bike rentals.

Go for a hike!

There is no shortage of hiking to be done in the area! We've made a list of a few we've done at the link below.

Warren Falls

3919 Vermont Rte 100, Warren, VT

Fun little swimming hole, but it does get crowded. There are a ton of unnamed/"secret" swimming holes in the area that a little web research may reveal if you're looking for somewhere to cool off.

Drink some beer!

There are no shortage of great beer options in Vermont! Here are a few places we recommend: - Hill Farmstead: a little bit of a trek, but 100% worth it for some of the best beer out there - Lawson's Finest Liquids: get a freshly brewed Sip of Sunshine right in Waitsfield - The Alchemist: if hoppy beer is what you want, Heady Topper is consistently one of the top ranked beers in the world - Idletyme Brewing Company: their back patio is a great place to hang out and enjoy a beer - If you decide to check out Burlington, Burlington Beer Company and Foam are two of our favorites there

Eat some food!

- Mad Taco: Good tacos right in Waitsfield - The Warren Store: Quintessential Vermont general store with a deli and bakery - American Flatbread: Pizza in a great farmhouse setting - Hender's Bakery: We dream about their maple cruellers and breakfast sandwiches - Cold Hollow Cider Mill: Since LDW is the unofficial end of summer, get in the fall mood with some apple cider and doughnuts - Canteen Creemee: Maple creemees are a Vermont staple, so we feel obligated to list this as a food option, but we may or may not be providing an opportunity to eat these ;) - Hen of the Woods: Upscale restaurant that we have yet to go to, but is supposed to be delicious! Reservations needed. - Madbush Falls: New hotel with an all-day restaurant that is supposed to be great. They will have bluegrass band playing during lunch on Sunday.
