Our Story It all began in Mexico, where fate placed us in the same place at the same time — the beginning of something we never could have imagined. What followed was a year of long-distance love: first between Tucson and Phoenix, then again when Jonathan took a new job and moved to California. For twelve months, we built our relationship from a distance, rooted in deep conversations, unwavering commitment, and the kind of connection that only grows stronger when time and space are your greatest tests. There was no question when it came time for Elisa to move to California — love made the decision clear. Life as we knew it shifted the moment we were finally in the same city. We made a home just five minutes from Redondo Beach, where our shared love for nature and the outdoors became the heartbeat of our daily life. From beach days to hiking trails, we found rhythm in the simple beauty of being together. Our bond deepened through our shared passion for music — especially EDM. We spent years dancing under the electric sky, soaking in the energy of music festivals and live shows. Those moments, surrounded by community and sound, became a sacred part of our love story — where movement, connection, and freedom met in perfect harmony. Over the years, we’ve moved across Southern California, each place bringing new memories and soul-aligned friendships. We’ve traveled the world together — from the savannahs of Tanzania, to the lush jungles of Costa Rica, to the sacred shores of Hawaii. We’ve wandered through the valleys of Yosemite, stood in awe beneath the towering Redwoods, and felt the quiet magic of the Hoh Rainforest. Jonathan inspires Elisa to step outside her comfort zone — leading the way on long hikes, climbing adventures, and spontaneous getaways. Elisa reminds Jonathan to slow down — to breathe in the stillness, the softness, the quiet details that make life beautiful. In 2022, that shared spirit of adventure took us to Croatia — and it was there, with Plitvice Lakes Park as our witness, that Jonathan surprised Elisa with a proposal. and of course, she said yes! It’s been a blissful ten years together. While many couples choose to marry just a few years into their relationship — as is often expected — our timeline has looked a little different. Not because our commitment ever wavered, but because we chose to grow, explore, and deepen our connection with intention. Over the past decade, we’ve built a foundation so rich in trust, adventure, and love that we now feel — without a doubt — the timing is perfectly aligned. And what better place to say “I do” than in the place where it all began? On the very beach where our love flourished, with the ocean as our witness and the salt in the air that once held the sparks of our beginning. And as if written by the stars themselves, we’ll celebrate our reception at a vibrant Mexican Cantina— a playful, poetic nod to the country where our story first began. How fitting, how full circle. Now, surrounded by the people we love most, we’re ready to honor this journey — and step into the next chapter of our lives.
