First comes school, then comes marriage. We met during the first week of summer academy before pharmacy school. They had initially requested the weekend of Halloween off for a different event that got canceled. Jonathan was already working with a jeweler on the ring, and was told it would be ready that same week. With Cristina working the Sunday before, Jonathan had an opportunity to take her parents out to brunch to ask for their permission. With that done, they scheduled a last-minute trip to San Antonio, staged as a romantic staycation. Jonathan had a friend in the area set him up with a photographer and told Cristina that they would help this "friend" with his portfolio because he needed more couples pictures. This gave them an excuse to go get some nice clothes, get a manicure/pedicure, and facials. They started the morning with a couple's photoshoot and Jonathan gave the photographer a sign when he was ready to propose. Cristina was not expecting this, considering everything seemed planned on a whim and immediately started crying with emotion and happiness.
