Downtown Brattleboro is a ten-minute drive from Scott Farm Orchard and has lots of lovely cafes, restaurants, shops, breweries, etc. There are also some wonderful nearby hiking and walking trails nearby on both sides of the Connecticut River. We would recommend downloading the All Trails app if you are interested in exploring.
