Matron of Honor
Camille has known Michelle since birth (she is indeed her big sister) and some may say Michelle is the smartest Goodwin sibling with her finger on the pulse of the KC food scene (she has great recommendations on her instagram). Michelle was the one who pushed Camille to not let Jonny get away in May of 2022 and was integral in the engagement ring selection process (Jonny says thank you again). Camille can also credit Michelle with introducing her to Pirates Bone beet burgers (RIP) and the world of romantasy books.
Best Man
Michael and Jonny have been close friends since high school. After leading Kairos together #118, their friendship continued through four years at Xavier. Michael’s guitar skills have been the source of many great jam sessions, but Jonny’s poor follow-through has prevented them from stardom. Michael is always down to clown but can also be desirous to be serious. He, more than anyone, helped Jonny realize how important Camille was to him, and for that, Jonny is ever grateful. Michael was born a Ramblin’ Man and is pure beyond the arc. He is currently shaping the minds of future generations while also completing his Master’s in Teaching at SLU.
Bridesmaid
Anna and Camille met working at the math department at KU where Anna had the hard task of training Camille on Friday afternoons. You can count on Anna to always be down for a sushi run no matter the time or place. She is a big fan of teeth (a recent graduate of UMKC dental school - congratulations again to Dr. Cosner!!). Anna and Camille's friendship has survived many misadventures in Chicago, New Orleans and more and the two could be seen debriefing a night out in the Dunkin' drive thru most Saturdays.
Groomsman
Nick is Jonny’s oldest brother. Nick's favorite form of playing with Jonny as a child was trapping him under a laundry basket and chanting “Turtle Boy, Turtle Boy.” It was his love for Portlandia that inspired Jonny to consider moving to the Pacific Northwest. Fun fact: the first time Nick met Camille was at his own rehearsal dinner. After three years in Boston, Nick and his wife, Julia, moved to Chicago last December, making him only about 2,100 miles away by plane instead of 2,500. Some attributes Jonny has tried to adopt from Nick are his silliness, his love for eating salads out of a metal mixing bowl, and, most significantly, his ability to be an empathetic listener.
Bridesmaid
Camille and Bridget met working in the math department at KU - but it actually made sense for Bridget to be there teaching ungrateful college freshmen y=mx+b. Bridget is an educator of America’s young minds by day and Boulevard Quirks’ biggest fan by night with a huge passion for KU sports. The two bonded on nights spent out on the town in Lawrence as well as over hours spent grading math tests. Bridget has seen Camille through everything from trips to Brothers on Mass St to buying towels in Portland for her new apartment.
Groomsman
Alex is Jonny’s middlest brother. Alex’s favorite way to play with Jonny as a child was stripping the couch cushions and chasing him around the living room, ready to strike. Alex probably has the most refined taste of all the Klar brothers, which we should have expected, given that his favorite childhood snack was the Cosmic Brownie. From Miami to Paris to Dubai, Alex now lives in New York City, where his yearly Soup Swap rivals the Soho House in exclusivity. Some attributes that Jonny has tried to adopt from Alex include his spontaneity, his love for pop/dance/house music, and, most significantly, his ability to be intentional and thoughtful.
Bridesmaid
Holly and Camille met working at - you guessed it - the math department, but once again Holly had a good reason to be there with the whole math major thing going for her. Holly is a certified Disney adult and champion of adult hobbies (she competes in figure skating) who only started watching Gossip Girl in 2025. Camille was tasked with training Holly at work and somehow they managed to become friends. Their friendship has lasted the test of a 26 hour round trip road trip, a jetski tour in the Caribbean, and living states apart post grad.
Groomsman
Max is Camille’s younger brother and the only one in the wedding party who rivals the groom’s height. While Max can dominate Jonny on the soccer field, they are equally below average on the golf course. When he's not enjoying Big Gary’s Meatloaf from the Red Door Grill, you can find Max singing karaoke of vintage country classics such as Big Bad John, The Sawmill, and Jonny’s personal favorite, 16 Tons. A renaissance man when it comes to yard work, Max is currently working on completing his Law Degree at the University of Kansas.
Bridesmaid
Camille and Avni met working at - once again - the math department at KU and the two have been close friends ever since. Avni can be described as a Facebook Marketplace aficionado. She is the owner of a nanny cam for her adorable cats (Millie and June) and remains vegan to this day out of middle school spite. Avni and Camille have remained friends despite each of them moving away after college through countless stupid Instagram DMs, a visit to Madison, Wisconsin, and one particularly long drive to Mount Rainier.
Groomsman
Jon and Jonny were in the same orientation group during freshman year of college. Jon still calls Jonny by the Instagram username he had at that time, KlardiB. As roommates sophomore year, Jon demonstrated the importance of tasteful interior decorating and not living in complete chaos. In return, Jonny gave him COVID during their senior year. When Jonny moved to Kansas City for the summer of 2021, Jon day-tripped from St. Louis to console his friend after Jonny spent his 21st birthday alone. While Jon yearns to live in the Griddy Lot, he currently lives in Chicago and is training for his first marathon.
Bridesmaid
Camille and Piper were instant friends when they met in CPE 111 - a freshman engineering course at KU. Despite Camille wisely dropping her engineering major, they remained friends, attending hot yoga class, roadtripping to Colorado, and more. Piper is a former homeowner, a lover of national parks and a successful chemical engineer (WOMAN IN STEM!!!). Camille and Piper have taken on challenging hikes in the PNW, sent hundreds of hours of voice memos, and attended many a concert across the country together.
Groomsman
Austin and Jonny became friends through Jon during their sophomore year of college. When they became neighbors during their senior year, they spent a lot of time playing Pokémon, ransacking Coffee Emporium’s breakfast burrito supply, and discussing relationships, whether between two humans or between Dry Lime Cider and our state of being. Austin perfectly predicted Jonny and Camille’s relationship when he said, “Jonny, we know damn well you’re going to end up in the Pacific Northwest moving for some girl.” Austin is currently in North Carolina, hooking Jonny up with discounts from his employer, Saucony.
Bridesmaid
Camille and Taylor's friendship dates back to week one of freshman year of college at KU. The two could often be seen at Free Beer Friday at The Hawk or taking a mental health lap around Target. Taylor is a lover of the Panera (I apologize, St. Louis Bread Co) iced coffee membership and the NBA and was on the forefront of the love of Camille's pizza recipe. Camille and Taylor survived rooming together for two years in a tiny apartment and are in constant contact sending Apple Watch Fitness notifications back and forth.
Groomsman
Charley and Jonny have known each other since high school, but their friendship grew stronger in college. Charley is known as 1/3 of “The Audible" (alongside Jonny and Michael), Kues, The Kid, and many other names I won’t list here. The spirit of Camp Highlands runs deep in Charley. Apart from the Fire of Friendship, Jonny and Charley bond over the Xavier Caf, Lil Dicky (a.k.a. Firm Handshake), and their nonsense language, which is addicting to use and consistently hilarious. Charley is completing his Master’s in Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Bridesmaid
Camille and Elizabeth met working the 4:30am shift at Orangetheory South Waterfront (may she rest in peace). Their friendship quickly grew beyond the studio and saw them celebrating Elizabeth's birthday in Nashville and spending many Sundays watching football. Elizabeth can be described as Fargo’s premier barista and certified Renee Rapp impersonator (google her - it's uncanny) with a sick tattoo of a boot. The two trade countless snapchat updates every day and reminisce on the days they lived less than a block apart.
Groomsman
Jay and Jonny became fast friends during their freshman year of college, living just a few doors down the hall in Brockman. When they’re not executing a flawless rendition of Kid Rock’s “Picture” (feat. Sheryl Crow), you can find Jay studying for the Bar Exam, as he is currently enrolled in Law School at UMKC. Jonny’s favorite Jay story is when, asked about his birthday at the local Family Dollar, Jay responded, “It’s not my birthday.” Jay recently got engaged to his now-fiancée, Janie, and we are all very excited for them.
Flower Girl
Margot told us "I'll have to think about it" when we asked her to be our flower girl... and it sounds like she genuinely meant that since her dad had to call Camille later that night to confirm Margot would indeed participate in the wedding.
Officiant
Drew is Camille's older brother and a skilled lawyer who Camille has forced to help her out of a few traffic violations. Drew is a father to four, proficient rollerblader, and horrible texter. When on a roller coaster recently, Drew's phone did indeed fall out of his pocket, but he somehow is still able to communicate with the family. Being part of the "first set" of Goodwin kids, he had the misfortune of driving Camille and Max to elementary school. Camille and Jonny are very excited to have Drew officiate the wedding.
